PC requirements and the benchmark

Minimum: Windows 11, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB, DirectX 12, 50 GB SSD. Capcom says 30 FPS on the Low preset at 1080p with upscaling, with possible drops under load. Recommended: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8 GB or Radeon RX 6600 8 GB, aiming at 60 FPS on Medium at 1080p with upscaling. An SSD is required. Onboard and mobile GPUs are outside the support guarantee.
Capcom’s products notes list four graphics targets: Minimum 1080p30, Recommended 1080p60, High 1440p60, Ultra 2160p60, with DLSS 4.5 / FSR notes. Super Resolution is enabled via NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4 on the benchmark page. The free benchmark needs about 18 GB to install, lives on the Steam and Epic product pages, and is not a promise of identical retail performance. Scores print Excellent at 25000+, Good 20000–24999, Playable 11000–19999, then lower bands that recommend or require setting changes.
Denuvo Anti-tamper limits activations to 5 different PCs within a day. Plan laptop-to-desktop moves around that cap. Languages follow the official list already quoted on the home page. A web manual lives at manual.capcom.com/onimusha-ws.
Console output and store IDs
PlayStation 5 outputs 2160p with HDR. Ray tracing is PS5 Pro only. DualSense vibration and trigger effect are listed on the US store page. Cross-save is not supported. Xbox Series X is 2160p, Series S is 1080p, both with HDR, store id 9NH6PQ3L7TTP. Nintendo Switch 2 is 1080p on TV and 900p handheld with HDR and no mouse. Joy-Con 2 sword and bow aiming was described in Switch 2 announcement coverage; the official site lists the SKU.
Windows also sells through Epic Games Store (slug onimusha-way-of-the-sword-3c2acc) and Microsoft Store (same 9NH6PQ3L7TTP family as Xbox). Capcom Town carries US digital Standard, Deluxe, and Premium links. Physical copies are listed at GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon for PS5 and Xbox in the English products page.
Official social accounts for the English product are X @OnimushaGame and Instagram @onimushagame, plus Capcom USA and CapcomChannel YouTube uploads. Those channels are for trailers and announcements, not for save recovery.
Launch date, Denuvo, and which clock to believe
Capcom English and PlayStation print Friday, September 4, 2026. Steam US appdetails prints Sep 3, 2026 with coming_soon false. Both are store clocks, not a contradiction you have to pick in combat. The public date had been 25 September 2026 and moved forward; early-adopter cutoffs moved with it. Preload notices told buyers they might still download extra data after launch.
Denuvo Anti-tamper allows 5 different PCs in a day. An SSD is required. Windows 11 is the minimum OS. The free benchmark needs about 18 GB and scores Excellent at 25000+, then Good, Playable, and two “change settings” bands. Frame interpolation lowers the score while smoothing the picture. There is no promise that the benchmark matches retail frame time.
Cross-save is unsupported. Ray tracing is PS5 Pro only. Switch 2 has no mouse. DualSense extras on PS5 do not appear on the PC FAQ’s verified DualSense list. Buy the SKU for the output and features you want, then stay on that SKU.
Store IDs and what each SKU actually outputs
PlayStation 5 is 2160p HDR, DualSense vibration and trigger effect on the US page, ray tracing on PS5 Pro only. Xbox Series X is 2160p, Series S 1080p, store id 9NH6PQ3L7TTP. Switch 2 is 1080p TV / 900p handheld, HDR, no mouse. Windows is Steam app 2638890, Epic slug onimusha-way-of-the-sword-3c2acc, and Microsoft Store in the same 9NH6PQ3L7TTP family. Capcom Town carries US digital Standard, Deluxe, and Premium.
Physical PS5 and Xbox listings on the English products page point at GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon. Local retailers handle physical early-adopter notes. Language lists are the same across SKUs; only hardware features differ. Saves cannot move. Choose the store you will keep.
Official English socials are X @OnimushaGame and Instagram @onimushagame, plus Capcom USA and CapcomChannel YouTube. Use them for trailers, not for save recovery. The web manual is manual.capcom.com/onimusha-ws. Capcom’s PC FAQ remains the controller and launch-troubleshooting source.
