Musashi and His Allies is Capcom’s own roster heading. Miyamoto Musashi is the protagonist, an ardent samurai who arrives in Kyoto to prove he is unmatched in the way of the sword. The Oni Lady lives in his gauntlet. Ono no Takamura is the aged swordsman who still cuts Genma down. Izumo no Okuni is the Kabuki dancer who wants the power to fight them. The Man in White handed both Musashi and Ganryu their gauntlets and has not chosen a side. English voices are printed on the official character page; Japanese names sit beside them.
Izumo no Okuni in an orange kimono, with a Genma behind her.
An ardent samurai who arrives in Kyoto looking to prove that he is unmatched in the way of the sword. However, the path before him takes a strange and unexpected turn.
A female Oni housed in Musashi's Oni Gauntlet. While she usually supports Musashi from within the gauntlet, she can also appear before him when the need arises.
Voice: Yuriri Naka
Ono no Takamura
小野 篁
Mentor swordsman
An individual that Musashi comes to meet through the guidance of the voice in his gauntlet. A highly skilled swordsman, he can vanquish Genma with ease despite his old age. He also appears to have an Oni Gauntlet, much like Musashi and Ganryu...
Voice: Shogo Miyakita
Izumo no Okuni
出雲 阿国
Kabuki dancer
A young dancer who, due to certain circumstances, comes to Ono no Takamura seeking the power to defeat the Genma. While her Kabuki dance has brought her fame within the city, other priorities are keeping her from the stage of late.
Voice: Leader Looi
Man in White
白装束の男
Key character
The mysterious figure who granted Oni Gauntlets to both Musashi and Ganryu. After doing so he continues to make unexpected appearances, but his goals, and whether he is to be trusted or not remain completely unknown.
Voice: Shogo Miyakita
How the allies actually show up
Musashi is playable. Everyone else is a story and menu presence first. The Oni Lady usually supports him from inside the gauntlet and can step out when needed. Ono no Takamura is met through the voice in that gauntlet; he already has one of his own, like Musashi and Ganryu. Okuni comes to Takamura seeking the power to defeat Genma, and her Kabuki fame is on hold. The Man in White keeps appearing after the gift of the gauntlets, with goals unknown.
Face credit is unique to Musashi: Capcom used the late Toshiro Mifune as the face model so this young samurai looks like a striking period fighter rather than a generic hero. English voice Kenichiro Thomson. Japanese 細谷 佳正. The Oni Lady’s English voice is Yuriri Naka; Japanese pages name her 鬼の佳人. Takamura and the Man in White share English voice Shogo Miyakita. Okuni’s English voice is Leader Looi.
Official pages do not publish numerical stats, affinity meters, or a full credits roll beyond those blurbs. This roster therefore stays at name, Japanese name, role, summary, and voice. Formidable foes are a separate list. If you want the first duel, go to the demo page; if you want the later warped Ganryu, open his foe profile.
Profiles worth opening before Kyoto
Miyamoto Musashi’s detail page repeats the Mifune decision and the gauntlet conflict: he wants to walk the way of the sword on his own strength, yet only the Oni Gauntlet lets him stand against Genma. That tension is the story engine, not flavor text. Read it before you treat the gauntlet as a simple power-up.
The Oni Lady’s page is the other half of that engine. She is the voice in the artifact and a body that can appear. Capcom never prints a personal name beyond Oni Lady / 鬼の佳人. Premium Kit outfits Bird Call, Snow Camellia, and Elegance change her look later; they are cosmetics claimed at the Spirit Mirror, not extra bios.
Okuni’s screenshot on this hub is the orange-kimono still from the official store. Premium Kit adds Flower Dance, Goldfish Dance, and Oni Dance for her. Takamura’s Mentor charm is a Deluxe Kit item that strengthens Musashi when equipped, which is a reminder that charms are combat tools even when they are modeled after allies.
Voices, charms, and who is playable
Only Musashi is the playable Onimusha. The others are story partners, a voice in iron, or a man who will not declare a side. That split matters when you open the Deluxe Kit: the Oni Lady, Little Dancer, and Mentor charms strengthen Musashi when equipped, but they do not turn Okuni or Takamura into party members. Premium Kit outfits for the Oni Lady and Okuni are appearance items claimed at the Spirit Mirror.
English voice credits on the official page are Kenichiro Thomson, Yuriri Naka, Shogo Miyakita, and Leader Looi. The Man in White shares Miyakita with Takamura. Japanese names are 宮本 武蔵, 鬼の佳人, 小野 篁, 出雲 阿国, and 白装束の男. Use those forms on Japanese storefronts and in the language switcher’s local title rules.
If you came here from the demo, you have already heard the gauntlet voice and dueled Ganryu. Ganryu is not on this ally list. He is a formidable foe with a later warped appearance. Open the foes board next if you are mapping bosses rather than partners.
