FAQ
Capcom’s Japanese PC FAQ for 鬼武者 Way of the Sword is the support source for language switching, SKU add-on locks, verified controllers, kit and demo bonus claim paths, platform differences, and launch troubleshooting. The demo is marked outside official support. This page restates those answers in English with the official URLs. It is not a substitute for Capcom’s own forms if your executable still will not start.

Bonuses, kits, and the Spirit Mirror
Almost every extra item in this game funnels through the Spirit Mirror after that menu unlocks. Demo bonus starts in Settings > Privacy, then finishes at the mirror. CAPCOM ID, Deluxe Kit, Premium Kit, early-purchase cosmetics, and Red Souls packs confirm under Additional Content. Appearance changes are a different mirror tab. Charms are an Equipment tab. The mini soundtrack is a title-screen feature. Learn that split once and the rest of the DLC list makes sense.
Charms strengthen Musashi. Sword appearances, haori, outfits, and gauntlets do not. Capcom repeats that split on the products page because kit screenshots look like power items. They are not. If a charm is missing, you either skipped Privacy > Demo Bonus, have not reached the Charms tab, or bought a SKU that never included it.
Region locks still apply. Overseas add-ons will not bind to a Japanese SKU, and Japanese add-ons will not bind to an overseas SKU. Saves will not move between PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2, and Windows. Choose the store you will keep.
If the PC build will not launch
Confirm Windows 11, an SSD install, and a GPU that is not an onboard chip. Capcom’s requirement FAQ refuses to guarantee onboard or shared VRAM. Update the GPU driver. Exclude the install folder from antivirus. Avoid pre-release Windows builds. Steam users should start with Steam troubleshooting; Epic and Microsoft Store users get the same spec and driver walkthrough in the full-game FAQ article.
The demo has a separate “will not launch” article and is outside official support. Do not send a demo crash to the retail article and expect a new patch promise. Performance parity between demo, benchmark, and retail is explicitly not guaranteed.
Controllers on PC are a short allowlist. DualSense adaptive triggers and haptics are PlayStation features, not PC features, in this build. Switch Pro is Steam-only. Mouse and keyboard are first-class on Windows. If a pad is missing from the FAQ list, it is unverified.
Frequently asked questions
Can overseas add-on content be used on the Japanese SKU?
海外版の追加コンテンツを日本国内版ソフトで使用できますか/日本国内版の追加コンテンツを海外版ソフトで使用できますか?
Japanese and overseas add-on content, save data, and download codes are not interchangeable. If you buy a Deluxe Kit, Red Souls pack, or CAPCOM ID bonus on one SKU family, do not expect it to unlock on the other. Pick the Japanese or overseas SKU before you spend, then keep DLC inside that family. Capcom’s Japanese PC FAQ is the source for this lock and points to the overseas-SKU article for the same rule in reverse.

Which voice and subtitle languages are supported, and can they be changed mid-game?
音声と字幕はどの言語に対応していますか?/途中から言語の変更はできますか?
Change language from the title screen under Settings > Language. The supported list is the official site language line: Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean, with full audio on the starred Steam subset. You cannot switch language from a paused gameplay menu. Back out to the title screen if you need a different voice or subtitle track mid-campaign.

Do the Japanese and overseas versions differ in content?
日本国内版と海外版で表現に差異はありますか?
Capcom says basic game content does not differ between the Japanese and overseas versions. Expression and SKU add-on locks still follow the region rule in the previous answer. Gameplay systems, Kyoto settings, and the Issen family are the same. What you cannot do is mix add-ons or saves across those SKUs. Buy the version that matches the store account you will keep using.

Where are the demo play bonus and CAPCOM ID bonus claimed?
「体験版プレイ特典」「CAPCOM ID特典」はどこで受け取れますか?
Demo charm: title screen Settings > Privacy > Demo Bonus > Collect Reward, then a Spirit Mirror under Additional Content / Demo Bonus. Equip it from Main Menu > Equipment > Charms. CAPCOM ID bonus: confirm it at the Spirit Mirror under Additional Content. Those menus unlock as the game progresses, so a fresh file will not show them on the first screen. Spirit Mirrors and the Charms list unlock on separate story flags.

Which PC controllers are verified?
どのコントローラーに対応していますか?
Verified PC controllers: Xbox One / Series / Elite 2 (no Impulse Triggers), DualShock 4 (no light bar, motion, or touch pad), DualSense / Edge (no light bar, motion, touch pad, adaptive triggers, or haptic feedback), Nintendo Switch Pro on Steam only, plus mouse and keyboard. DualSense features that work on PlayStation 5 do not carry to PC. If a pad is not on this list, Capcom has not verified it.

Is the PC version the same as consoles?
他機種版と同じ内容ですか?
Gameplay is the same aside from hardware features. Saves cannot move across platforms. PS5: 2160p HDR, ray tracing on PS5 Pro. Switch 2: 1080p TV / 900p handheld, HDR, no mouse. Xbox Series X 2160p / S 1080p with HDR. PC: custom resolution, mouse/keyboard, HDR, ray tracing. Pick the SKU for the features you want; you will not merge progress later.

Where are early-purchase, Deluxe Kit, and Premium Kit items used?
「早期購入特典」や「Deluxe Kit」「Premium Kit」に含まれる追加コンテンツはどこで使えますか?
Claim early-purchase, Deluxe Kit, and Premium Kit items at Spirit Mirror > Additional Content. Sword skins, haori, outfits, and gauntlets change under Spirit Mirror > Change Appearance. Charms sit in Main Menu > Equipment > Charms. The mini soundtrack is on the title screen. Cosmetic items do not change combat. Charms do. Menus unlock separately, so a missing tab means you have not reached that flag yet.

What are the PC system requirements?
動作環境が知りたい
Capcom points to the Steam, Epic, and Microsoft Store requirement tables rather than reprinting a third chart. Onboard or shared VRAM and mobile GPUs sit outside the support guarantee. Retail PC wants Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, a 50 GB SSD, and the GPU lines listed on those stores. Run the free benchmark from the Steam or Epic product page before you argue with a laptop iGPU.

The demo will not launch.
【体験版】ゲームが起動しないなど、正常に動作しない場合
Capcom marks the demo as outside official support. Steam users should follow Steam troubleshooting. Epic users should meet minimum specs, exclude the game from antivirus, and avoid pre-release Windows builds. Demo performance is not a promise for the full game. If the retail build is the one that fails, use the full-game article instead of this demo note.

The full PC game will not launch.
ゲームが起動しないなど、正常に動作しない場合
For the full PC game, Capcom points Steam players to Steam troubleshooting and walks Epic and Microsoft Store users through spec checks, antivirus exclusions, and GPU driver updates. A Steam community troubleshooting thread also exists for the retail app. Update the GPU driver, confirm the SSD install, and disable overlays before you assume the executable is broken.
