Sasaki Ganryu
Sasaki Ganryu is a swordsman also known as Sasaki Kojiro. His fate seems inescapably intertwined with Musashi’s, and he also wields an Oni Gauntlet. He closes the first demo at Kiyomizu-dera Temple. A later appearance shows him after that duel, transformed by forbidden Oni Gauntlet practices that warped his body and mind. English voice: Tashinga Bepete. Japanese name: 佐々木 巌流.

First duel, then the warped return
The demo teaches you his first meeting. Capcom’s demo copy is the source: forge a path through Kiyomizu-dera Temple and face Musashi’s formidable rival. There is no official move list, no posted health, and no hidden-weapon chart. Bring parry, deflect, and Issen. That is the entire published exam.
The later appearance is a separate official blurb. After the prior duel he searched for greater power, engaged in forbidden Oni Gauntlet practices, and came back transformed. Treat that as a second fight identity, not as a palette swap. The Man in White is the figure who granted gauntlets to both men, which is why Ganryu’s artifact is not a copy Musashi dropped.

There is no published health bar or weapon chart. Bring those verbs.
